I get the following error Flow control did not work, or the person receiving the fax complains of only receiving half the page. What does that mean?

DISCUSSION

If you get the error message flow control did not work, then flow control was not active. This usually results in a garbled transmission and the receiving machine may reject the page, abort the call, print a distorted or blank image, and/or hang up. This has an easy fix.

1) Open FaxCenter
2) Open the preferences
3) Switch to the modem section
4) Click on the Advanced button
5) Switch to the Flow Control tab
6) Change your settings open one level.

Meaning if they are at Default currently, change it to Virtual. If the settings are on Virtual change it to Hardware. If you still get this error with the settings on hardware, email ben@macadvocacy.com
